Suhhee Unit Launched for Dispatch to Iraq

The launching ceremony of `Seohi Unit (led by Cap. Choi Gwang-yeon)` was held in a military facility in Jangseong-gun, Chollanam-do on April 15, attended by high-ranking officers including Gen. Nam Jae-joon, chief of General staff of armed forces. The unit, named after Great General Suh Hee from ancient Korea Dynasty who saved the country from Georan`s invasion, comprises 573 soldiers specializing in building, construction, vehicles and equipment. An advanced group will leave the country for Iraq on April 17, before the first dispatch late this month and the second set for May 14.
