Some members of the Millennium Democratic party are talking about the national neutral Cabinet again. Wongil Kim, the Secretary General said, “We have to come up with a method to reform the national policy, concerning matters such as Hongil Kim’s attitude and construct a new Cabinet before the local election on the 13th of Jun.”, and he also pointed out that they would have to make a big change, once they’ve decided to change. This represents the opinions of the party’s congressmen who are for the reformation, and it was already presented at the party’s workshop.

Such assertion being presented as the election is running to its end means that the party members are becoming aware of the fact that public opinion is indeed against them. President Kim, Daejung’s third son, Honggul has been placed under restraint, but the critical viewpoints of people have not changed much. Millennium Democratic Party members have commented that any kind of claim wouldn’t attract people’s attention because of various ‘Gate’ scandals, which shows what the public opinion is like. The presidential candidate, No, Muhyun’s support is merely beating Lee, Heoichang’s support by a small number that falls within the error range of the statistics. Also the atmosphere of Honam provinces where Millennium Democratic Party has always won is not same as before.

Leaders of the Millennium Democratic Party have finally decided that they need a countermeasure to change the atmosphere of the election. They are desperately aware that they have to put an end to the linkage between the Millennium Democratic Party and the corruption.

However, is the national Cabinet possible? Grand National Party is criticizing the attitude as a “transparent subterfuge to avoid the failure in the election” and the Blue House is also showing negative reaction. Also, some members of the party are not agreeing with the matter, so it may finally end up as a void political slogan. Even if it is realized, the effect the party is anticipating not very certain. Also, people may consider it as the party’s strategy for the election rather than a real reform.

In addition, as a political measure, the National Cabinet does not seem so important. What the Millennium Democratic Party needs now is not playing a political card, but to reflect its conduct and to apologize to the people before a new beginning.
