Mobile phone using code division multiple access (CDMA) is likely to be commercialized in Myanmar after China and Vietnam.
The Ministry of Information and Communication (MIC) announced on the 19th that Myanmar plans to launch the service next year after calling for bids in the second half this year, and Korean government will spend Economic Development and Cooperation Fund (EDCF) for this business.
Kim Tae-Hyun vice minister of MIC attended at `Korea-Myanmar IT Forum` held in Yangon, Myanmar, and discussed supporting measures for CDMA business with Thane Jo Minister of Communications, Posts & Telegraphs Department of Myanmar.
The government of Myanmar allegedly requested industrial cooperation for CDMA technology and the expansion of financial provision of EDCF.
