Israeli Tanks Entered Gaza City and Attacked Refugee Camp Blowing up Broadcasting Station

Israeli troops put tanks into Gaza City on the 21st, and flattened Palestinian broadcasting station and refugee camp causing around 30 people killed or wounded. It was for the first time in 17 months of blood shedding fighting that Israeli troops entered Gaza City.

Palestinian side announced that Israeli troops entered Palestinian Radio and TV broadcasting station in the eastern Gaza City and blew it up. The building was completely flattened, and two people were allegedly seriously wounded at the attack.

And Israeli troops moved into 2 Palestinian refugee camps of Rafah in southern Gaza Strip, and killed 5 residents and wound around 30 people. In the attack, Israeli helicopter gunships fired missiles at Palestinian police station. In addition, Israeli troops fired 4 missiles at Prime Minister of Palestinian government Yasser Arafat’s headquarter in West Bank of Jordan River, but no one was killed.

Meanwhile, State Department spokesman Richard Boucher stressed, "Prime Minister Arafat and Palestinian authority should take a firm and strong movement to quit violence and terrorism."
