Japanese Prime Minister Koizumi Junichiro plans to suggest the regular-based official Korea-China-Japan summit talks in the meeting at Brunei today, reported Yomiuri Shimbun. Thus far, the Korea-China-Japan leaders have had only an informal meeting from 1999.

Prime Minister Koizumi also plans to suggest the Korea-China-Japan foreign ministers meeting setting to the foreign ministers meeting of the ASEAN countries, Korea, China and Japan, which will be held next July.

These plans were established in order to ease the tension around the Korean peninsular and to search for peace and stability in East Asia by improving the three-country relationship between Korea, China and Japan, added Yomiuri Shimbun.
