The Judges declared to inquire first the admissibility of evidence obtained from the overnight examination of the investigation agency for trial on Kim Young-Se, the superintendent of education at Chungbuk Province Office of Education, who was prosecuted on suspicion of bribery.
In the 10th trial on 29th, the 6th criminal case department of Cheongju district court (chief judge Lee Han-Ju) stated the necessity for probing on admissibility of a charge that Superintendent Kim Young-Se received 5 million won from Kim Young-Hak, the head of Jincheon education office. According to the judges, Kim Young-Hak reversed his former testimony, saying that he made a wrong testimony being threatened by the oppressive investigation of the prosecutors. Thus the judges concluded that they would hold a close inquiry in order to decide whether the court would admit Kim`s testimony as an evidence in next trial.
The judges requested the prosecutors and the attorney to present the evidence enough to prove the assertion of each part, because it was very crucial issue whether the overnight examination of investigation agency guaranteed the admissibility of evidence. The final trial on Superintendent Kim will be held at 10 o`clock am on 12th next month at the first courtroom of the Cheonju district court.
