Curb Rising Consumer Prices Within 3%

On May 2, presiding over a state council at ChongWa Dae, President Kim Dae-jung imposed that the government should make all efforts to curb the rise of consumer prices within 3%. President Kim asserted that the strategies against the possibility of stagflation, low economic growth with high inflation, must be established. President Kim also asked for exports increase, development of niche market, variegation of exporting commodities, etc. And at Labor Day ceremony, President Kim said that the demonstration culture was recovered by police and the labor’s behaving with self-restraint and thoughtfulness.
