The biggest North Korean window for economic cooperation in the private sector with South Korea is Eunha General Trading Co., a Ministry of Unification report said Monday.
According to materials the ministry submitted to the National Assembly for the parliamentary inspection of state affairs, Eunha, based in Pyongyang, is trading with 12 South Korean companies and is mainly in charge of economic cooperation in the textile field.
The second largest firm is Samcholli General Trading Co., which is responsible for economic cooperation in the electric and electronic sector, with six South Korean companies such as Samsung Electronics, followed by Bonghwa Co. trading with four firms in the South, and Kwangmyong, Amnoggang and Rungna Cos., trading with three firms in the South, apiece.
Besides them, National Industrial Co., Aug. 28 Trading Co., 56 Trading Co., Rakwon Trading Co., Daedonggang Trading Co. and Daesong Co. trade with one South Korean company each, according to the ministry material.
