Holiday train tickets to be sold from August 24.

The Korean National Railroad office announced August 21 that it has declared September 9 to 14 a special transportation period for the Thanksgiving holiday and will sell tickets starting August 24 for additional and regular trains.

The office plans to operate a daily average of 626 regular trains and 73 special trains during the period. Moreover, the office will connect 1 or 2 additional passenger sections to 40 regular trains to transport an estimated 415,000 people.

The office announced that from 2:30 a.m. September 9 to 2:30 a.m. September 12 all southbound trains from Seoul station will not stop at Norangjin and Youngdeungpo stations. Moreover, Kyungbu line and Janghang trains will not stop at Anyang station and Seonjang station, respectively, during the same hours.

In addition, reunification trains bound for Onyang hot springs from Seoul station at 7:18 p.m. will start from Yongsan station at 7:21 p.m., and 3 express trains from Seoul station to Suwon station in the afternoon will not operate during the special period.
