The king of golf, Tiger Woods (25, U.S.), took the 82nd U.S. PGA Championship title after a breathtaking playoff, gaining his third major title this year.
With his wins at the U.S. Open and the British Open, Woods became the youngest golfer ever to attain the grand slam. By winning the PGA title, he has also become only the second person in 47 years to have gained 3 major titles in the same year, with Ben Hogan being the first. In addition, he became the first golfer in 63 years to win the PGA Championship two years in a row since Denny Shute in 1937.
