A special website was launched yesterday that aims to help the separated families of the two Koreas reunite. The website (www.esan.co.kr) was opened yesterday by Fujitsu Korea Co. and Turi Information and Technology, a systems integration company. It is the first time that a website operated by a non-government group has opened to serve divided families.
Fujitsu Korea Co. said that it has made the website easy for divided family members, most of whom are elderly and computer-illiterate, to log onto and browse. The divided relatives can register the names and ages of the persons they are trying to locate, the time and place they parted, and other information.
