GNP special panel for SOFA revision

The main opposition Grand National Party set up a special committee July 18

to 18 promote the revision of the Status of Forces Agreement(SOFA)

with Rep. Park Hee-Tae as its chairman.

With the growing public concern with the SOFA revision, the GNP ad hoc panel

will hold its first meeting July 19 and map out the party position ahead of the Seoul-Washington negotiations scheduled for Aug. 2-3.
