The Majestic Princess will arrive at the southern port city of Busan on Friday, according to South Korea’s tourism promotion agency. The 140,000-ton vessel having 3,500 passengers on board will depart on Monday from Keelung, Taiwan, where she will homeport, and call at destinations including Nagasaki and Sakaiminato in Japan and Busan in Korea before ending her journey.
The tourism promotion agency said it would hold an information session on board before the ship’s arrival in Busan to introduce to passengers and crew the country’s tourism under the theme of the spring bloom. It will also feature a special performance by Korean traditional music performers from Busan National Gugak Center. Guests will visit major tourism attractions in Busan, including Cherry Blossom Walkway in Namcheon-dong, Haedong Yonggung Temple, Busan International Fish Market and Jagalchi Market.
“In cooperation with local governments and related agencies, we will engage more aggressively in overseas marketing to attract more cruise tour programs,” said Jeong Jin-soo, head of the theme-product team at the Korea Tourism Organization.
