Virtual experience for ancient marine life at British museum

Samsung Electronics has joined forces with the Natural History Museum in the U.K. to introduce the “Gear VR” headsets that narrates the beginning of marine ecosystem on earth.

Samsung revealed that the museum began to provide Samsung’s Gear VR, which is powered by the Galaxy S6 smartphone, starting Friday and offers virtual reality experience program of “David Attenborough’s First Life” that introduces the marine ecosystem some 5.4 million years ago.

Wearing the Gear VR on the head, visitors can dive into the deep sea of ancient time, which is guided by Sir David Attenborough, a renowned biologist and broadcaster. They can also have vivid encounter with the first marine life such as Opabinia, Anomalocaris and Hallucigenia. A 15-minute run narration has been produced based on the recent study by the museum.
