LG G4 teaser touts world`s first F1.8 camera

LG Electronics will unveil its flagship G4 smartphone with an aperture of f/1.8, which is the world`s first, on April 29.

LG sent out on Tuesday its second invitation to domestic and international media for the opening ceremony of the G4. The invitation includes a mark "F1.8," implying the shape and aperture value of the camera, against the backdrop of leather texture, which the electronics giant introduced in the first invitation mailed on March 31. The higher the aperture value, the more light the camera comes to take in, allowing the user to take brighter photos. It is also easier to create photos with blurry background. A smartphone installed with an F1.8 camera has never been introduced thus far.

LG Electronics is expected to promote its camera function more than any other features that the G4 have to offer. The G4 is equipped with 16 million megapixel front camera and 8 million megapixel back camera, which enable the user to take ordinary photos and high resolution "selfie" photos. A source at LG Electronics said, “The LG G4 will presents the most powerful camera function ever in the history of the smartphone.”
