Kang Jung-ho, a South Korean infielder for the Pittsburgh Pirates of Major League Baseball (MLB), has made his debut on ESPN SportsCenter, one of the most popular sports TV shows in the United States.

Playing his usual position at shortstop in an exhibition match against the Baltimore Orioles on Monday (Korean time), Kang showed an exceptional defense in the bottom of the second inning with two outs, snagged Jonathan Schoop`s grounder deep in the hole, performed a jump throw to fire an accurate strike to first base.

ESPN SportsCenter picked Kang`s solid defense as the second-best of the day`s top-10 plays. It was Kang`s first appearance on ESPN since his debut in Major League Baseball.

In offense, Kang was the seventh hitter, he added a base hit in the seventh inning, raising his hitting average to .190. However, he was stuck out twice by Baltimore starter Chris Tillman, failing to adapt to ace pitchers.
