Seungju CC eyes top 10 golf course nomination

Seungju Country Club in Suncheon, South Jeolla Province in southwestern Korea, has been selected as a candidate for the top 10 golf courses with which customer satisfaction is high as selected by the Dong-A Ilbo and Sports Dong-A in collaboration with the golf course booking service provider XGOLF (www.xgolf.com). XGOLF members gave Seungju CC the high score of 9.2 out of 10 in their evaluations on playing golf there. The golf course layout, which does not interfere with playing owing to independent course design, outstanding fairway, green condition, and landscaping were cited as strengths. It is geographically accessible as it is 10 minutes away from Suncheon Bay ecological park and Suncheon city.

Seungju CC, which opened as a membership golf course with 27 holes in 1992, has hosted multiple men’s and ladies pro golf tournaments and been positively reviewed by pro golfers. The golf course comprises the southern course that provides views of the Suncheon Bay and the southern coastline of Korea; the eastern course with wide open fairway that stimulate the urge to hit long; and the medium course, which is cozy with some meticulous finishing touches.

Suncheon’s average temperature in December is around 10 degrees Celsius and has less wind and snow than Jeju Island, allowing year-round golfing. Through XGOLF, Seungju CC offers two-day products and winter packages available.
