LG Group Chairman Koo Bon-moo emphasized the importance of dream and efforts to college students.
At the "LG Global Challenger 2014" award ceremony held at LG Twin Tower in Yeouido, Seoul on Thursday morning, Chairman Koo said, Experiences of looking around the world will serve as great foundation to pioneer the future. To make a better world, efforts to achieve ones own dream are important more than anything.
LG Global Challenger, began in 1995, is a program to offer college and graduate students opportunities to visit overseas government agencies, research institutes, universities, corporates, and social organizations, etc. Among overseas visit programs for college students, LG Global Challenger boasts the longest history.
Chairman Koo said, Young people must continue growing the power of thinking and never stop challenges against new things. LG will support dreams of young people and continue to provide opportunities for learning and experiences.
Around 400 guests attended the award ceremony including LG Management Development Institute Vice Chairman Kang Yoo-shik, LG Uplus Vice Chairman Lee Sang-cheol, LG Chemical Vice Chairman Park Jin-soo and other top management of LG Group, HR executives, and college students who participated in LG Global Challenger.
LG Group evaluated reports submitted by participants and presentations, and gave awards to 11 teams, 44 participants.
