The Bayern Munich of the German Bundesliga will never forget October 29, 2012.

Munich clinched the league title of the 2012-2013 season by garnering 29 wins, four draws and one loss. It sought all wins, but saw its dream of “perfect victory” go up in smoke when it lost 1-2 to Leverkusen on that day. Since then however, Munich continues a 37-game winning streak with no loss through Friday. With ten wins and two draws, the team is atop in the league again in this season. In an interview with the Bild magazine on Thursday, Munich’s striker Thomas Muller did not seek to hide his team’s bid to clinch victory with all wins and no loss in this season. Muller said, “Winning the title without single loss is not an easy target, but it is worth achieving it.” The team is nearing the victory one step at a time by constructing strong capability based on performance of Müller (five goals), and Mario Mandzukic (two goals), who ranks second overall in goal record in the league.

With more than one third of the matches in the UEFA Europa league completed, Munich is not the only team that has had an all-game winning streak. Three teams in the Big league are leading the race without incurring a single loss.

FC Barcelona in the Spanish Primera Liga (12 wins and one draw) is a good example. Barcelona, which won the title with 32 wins, four draws and two losses in the last season, further strengthened its capability by recruiting Neymar da Silva, a rising star from Brazil, prior to the opening of this season. Lionel Messi (eight goals), a flagship scorer of the team, is in a slump due to injury lately, but Neymar (four goals) started scoring multiple goals after overcoming a slump in early days of this season.

From the sixth team with 18 wins, eight draws and 12 losses in the last season, AS Roma in the Italian Serie A has been reborn as a team with no loss this season. Roma achieved 10 straight wins, the largest number of consecutive wins in the league, but recorded two draws in the latest matches to suffer a setback in its rise. Ahead of the season, the team boosted its defense after recruiting Mehdi Benatia, Douglas Maicon Morgan, and goalie De Sanctis. Notably, 37-year-old veteran player Francesco Totti (three goals) is spearheading the team’s emergence by delaying his retirement.
