The Dong-A Ilbo and its cable TV network Channel A will run advertisements in Seoul Subway Line No. 9 from June until the end of this year as part of their joint public campaign against driving violations. The ad campaign is aimed at enhancing public awareness of safe driving.

The campaign ads contain images and slogans that alert the public to bad driving habits such as drowsy driving, speeding, honking and cutting in. The ads will be displayed inside 11 of 24 stations on Seoul Subway Line No. 9. The interior of one of the line’s 36 trains will be decorated with the campaign ads.

When a person reading the QR code on the ads with smartphones, he or she will be connected to the Internet homepage of “Chadori’s Real Talk” (chadori.net), an online community run jointly by the Dong-A Ilbo and the Korea Transportation Safety Authority. Anyone is invited to leave their proposals for traffic safety and opinions on actual cases of driving violations.
