Jill Kelley named honorary consul for Korea 2 months ago

Jill Kelley, the woman who sparked the sex scandal involving former CIA Director David Petraeus, is known to have been named honorary consul for Korea by the State of Florida two months ago.

According to Korean diplomats based in the U.S., Kelley received the title after being recommended by former Korean Ambassador to the U.S. Han Duck-soo, a staunch advocate of the free trade agreement between the two countries.

Foreign Policy magazine also said Kelley helped get support for the accord and that she arranged meetings between Han and businessmen when he visited the Tampa area in Florida.
