Veteran baseballer retires

Veteran Korean baseballer Lee Jong-beom, nicknamed “son of the wind,” sheds tears Thursday in a news conference on announcing his retirement at Hotel Riviera in Seoul’s Gangnam district. Ending 33 years of baseball, he thanked his family and said, “I will return wearing a Kia (Tigers) uniform as a leader in the future.”
