Nuclear plant explosion

Japan`s Fukushima No. 1 nuclear power plant explodes around 3:36 p.m. Saturday. Hydrogen created by an abnormal rise in the temperature of the reactor core is believed to have concentrated in the space between a pressure containment vessel and the outer wall of the power plant before catching fire. Some people were exposed to radioactive leaks caused by the explosion, while hundreds of thousands of people near the reactor were evacuated. Japanese authorities were on alert Sunday amid the possibility of another explosion.
