Taliban Strikes Again

A vehicle of a U.S. military equipment transport unit is in flames Saturday after being attacked by a Taliban suicide bomber. The vehicle was carrying military armored vehicles on a street in the province of Nangarhar, Afghanistan. A Nangarhar spokesman said the incident left one civilian dead and nine others wounded. The Taliban has stepped up its attacks with the deadline of the U.S. military’s withdrawal from the war-torn nation as announced by U.S. President Barack Obama only about one year away.
