From Receipient to Donor

The United Nations flag at the Seoul office of the U.N. Development Program comes down Tuesday after 46 years. A ceremony for the removal of a hanging board of the program and the taking down of the flag occurred at the office in Hannam Tower in Seoul`s Yongsan district. Around 20 office staff and Korean government officials attended the ceremony. Seoul has joined the Development Assistance Committee of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, turning from a recipient of aid to donor.
