`Swine Flu Could Kill 90,000 Americans`

The U.S. President`s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology warned yesterday that almost half of Americans will be infected with the H1N1 flu virus, which could kill up to 90,000 people.

The council said in a report that a swine flu pandemic poses a serious threat to the United States, with one potential scenario being 30-50 percent of the American population getting infected this fall and winter.
