U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton yesterday said she is “very hopeful” that the two American journalists detained by North Korea will be freed.

ABC News said she feels very strongly about this not as secretary but as a person.

Clinton blasted North Korea, saying, “North Korea’s suspicion of the two journalists is totally groundless.”

“What we’ve seen is this constant demand for attention- and maybe it’s the mother in me, or the experience that I’ve had with small children and unruly teenagers, and people who are demanding attention- don’t give it to them,” she said.

“We weren’t going to give the North Koreans the satisfaction they were looking for, which is to try to elevate them again to center stage.”

She also said North Korea’s military power “is not that great."
