Cannes Film Festival Opens

Spanish model Eugenia Silva poses for cameras on the red carpet before the opening ceremony at the Cannes International Film Festival in France yesterday. The festival began Wednesday and lasts through May 24. Among Korean filmmakers, director Park Chan-wook’s “Thirst” is entered in the competitive division and director Hong Sang-soo’s “Like You Know It All” in the Directors’ Fortnight section.
