Sichuan Kids Eager to Learn

In the village of Mianyang in China’s quake-devastated Sichuan Province Sunday, children read books in a temporary classroom in an elementary school destroyed by the earthquake. Beijing announced yesterday plans to launch a restoration organization for Wenchuan County slated for completion in three years. Societe Generale Private Banking of France estimates restoration and reconstruction in the quake-stricken area will cost about 60 billion U.S. dollars.
