Korean golfers blew a sizable lead in the Womens World Cup in South Africa Saturday, allowing the Philippines to win the tournament.
Shin Ji-yai and Ji Eun-hee committed a triple bogey on the 17th hole, allowing Filipinas Dorothy Delasin and Jennifer Rosales to catch up and eventually win.
The two Philippine players birdied the 15th, 16th and 17th to take a two-shot lead.
World number seven Shin made it interesting, however, as her second shot to the par-five 18th hit the rocks behind the island green and rebounded to 40 feet.
She missed an eagle on the hole, and Delasin hit a 20-footer for the win.
Korea finished at 16 under in the 20-nation tournament, with Japan and Taiwan sharing third at 13 under.
