It was confirmed on Tuesday that the special prosecution investigation team probing Samsung slush fund allegations has found twenty alleged falsely named bank accounts opened to Samsung executives.
Prosecutors have recently traced several financial accounts of Good Morning Shinhan Securities, with suspicions that the bank probably cooperated with Samsung, and confirmed the fact that the bank allowed the opening of borrowed-name accounts. They summoned the banks branch manager for further questioning. Good Morning Shinhan Securities borrowed the name of Kim Yong-chul, a former Samsung lawyer, recently.
The number of alleged false-name accounts has reached 150 on the news.
The 20 borrowed names are different from the 120 names that were handled by a former manager for Samsung securities known as Park.
Prosecutors have reported that they have found a decisive clue that may solve the allegations.
An official from the police said, The investigation team paved the way to get access to the real substance of the allegations, and the team has found a way to find out about the suspicions all at once.
