Security Check

On July 2, the New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) police are checking vehicles in line at the Grand Central Station. New York increased security measures for the Independence Day (July 4) after car bombings were attempted at London and Glasgow on June 29 and 30. New York had its threat level elevated to orange, the second highest in the five-level alert system, since the September 11 terror.
