Amnesty

On August 11, the Grand National Party’s executive staff meeting attended by its floor leader Kim Hyeong-oh (right on the right side picture) criticized giving an amnesty to those close to the president as “a measure transgressing judicial power.” However, no one mentioned the possibility of amnesty in the ruling Uri party and government meeting attended by party leaders, including Chairman Kim Geun-tae (second from left on the left side picture), held at the prime minister’s official residence in Jongno-gu, Seoul on the same day.
