Montenegro

Montenegro has seceded from Serbia to become an independent state. At a state election taken on May 21, 56.3% voted for Montenegro to become independent. After Montenegrin President Milo Djukanovic announced the results, citizens supporting the separation crowded out onto the streets in the capital of Podgorica to celebrate.
