Embassy Ablaze

Thousands of Syrians enraged by cartoons depicting the Prophet Mohammed set fire to the Danish embassy in Syria yesterday. The building also contained the Chilean and Swedish embassies. Last September, the Danish newspaper Jyllands-Posten ran a cartoon titled ‘Mohammed’s Face’. The current outbreak of Islamic outrage began after a Norwegian magazine reprinted the cartoon on January 10.
