An international-scale golf club where PGA games can be held will be constructed in the business city that will occupy the reclaimed land in Seosan, Taean-gun, South Chungcheong Province.

Hyundai Engineering and Construction (HEC) revealed on November 4 that it has drafted the basic plans for the development project and assembled a development project team.

According to the basic plan, HEC will develop Taean Business City into a live-in tourist attraction, and among the eight 18-hole golf courses, seven will be public, and one will be a membership course.

The company is planning to place an order for the golf course design as early as next March.

A five star hotel, a high class condominium and a youth hostel will also be built, and there are ongoing negotiations with the British PGA and Hartpury College, a British sports and leisure school.

In order to vitalize farm-experience tourism packages that are linked with Seosan Farm, 2,500 housing units and a 700,000-pyeong model farm for organic farming will be built there.

HEC is planning to receive approval for the development by next June, and approval for execution of the project by February 2007. The actual construction is slated to start in March 2007.
