Philippines Opposition Party Submits Motion to Impeach President Arroyo

The motion to impeach President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo submitted by the members of the Philippines opposition party to the House of Representatives on July 25. Congress warned of a “People Power” revolution if the motion was denied. In Manila, thousands of protesters demanded President Arroyo’s resignation as they marched toward the House of Representatives.
