Bascule Bridge Opens against Backdrop of a Russian White Night

In the early morning hours of June 20, the Dvortsovy Bridge on the River Neva is lifting against the white night spread across the St. Petersburg sky. The white night phenomenon in this region lasts for a month starting in mid-June. These photographs were taken using a manual method, for which the camera lens was left open for five seconds at five-minute intervals.
