Asiana Airlines’s request to suspend the Ministry of Construction and Transportation (MCT), arguing that flight lines between Seoul and Shanghai were biasedly distributed, was renunciated. However, an administrative lawsuit against MCT is still being carried out.

Asiana Airlines took administrative litigation and requested the suspension of MCT when MCT allowed another airline carrier to execute flights between Seoul and Shanghai. MCT granted ten flights between these two cities to Korea Airlines and only one to Asiana Airlines, while flights between Seoul and Shanghai were formerly dominated by Asiana Airlines (17 flights per week).

The Seoul Administration Court announced, “Suspension is only possible when an opposed action will cause serious damage. This is not applicable in this case.”
