Bush to Exclude Korea from His Visit to Asia

U.S. President George W. Bush is visiting Japan, Philippines, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, and Australia in succession from October 17-23, the White House said on October 8 (local time).

President Bush will be paying a visit to these Asian countries from October 17, including Japan for two days to have summit talks with Japanese Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi, after finishing visiting California on October 15, White House spokesman Scott McClellan said.

Bush is also planning to visit Canberra, Australia on October 22 to conclude his trip after his planned participation at the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) meeting scheduled for October 20- 21 in Bangkok, Thailand.
