Michelle Wie Makes Third LPGA Start

Michelle Wie will advance to the LPGA for the third consecutive time this year.

It was determined yesterday in the ShopRite LPGA Classic held at the Resort Bay Course in Atlantic City, New Jersey, USA.

Wie was 1-over 143 in total, beating the cutoff line and moving up to the final third round. She made all of her three LPGA sorties successful this year, proving herself the super amateur that she is yet again.

Defending her title, Annika Sorenstam pulled up her ranking dramatically from 38th to 9th with 5-under and 66.

With the three major Korean golfers Se Ri Pak, Grace Park and Mi-Hyun Kim absent, Chung Chang is ranked 13th.
