Halla Winia Won a Championship Four Times

“We won again.”

Lee Jong-Hun and Lee Ho-Jeong of Halla Winia who were the best duet of business teams of ice hockey, gave the fourth championship to the team.

In the 4th game for the champion of 2003 Gangwondo Cup Korea Ice Hockey held in Mokdong link on January 6, Halla which was the champion of last season won the championship by a score of 3 wins and 1 defeat as it defeated Dongwon Dreams by the score of 4-1 through play of two players.

In the fourth game, there was unilateral pace of Halla. Halla which won the victry in the third period after making the score of 1-3 in the second period, strongly pushed Dongwon Dreams from the opening part of the game.

At 13 minutes and 35 seconds of the first period, Halla had the first socre by an assist of Lee Ho-Jeong and goal of Lee Jong-Hun.

In the second period with the score of 2-0, Lee Ho-Jeong gave an assist to Lee Jong-Hun who was waiting at goalmouth and he made the goal. Lee Jong-Hun had two goals and Lee Ho-Jeong had two assists.

Halla was chased by a score of 1-3 after Gim Gang-Hyun and Gim Yeong-Hun in the third period owing to a monor penalty, but Halla were sure of the victory by a goal of Lee Dae-Gyun at 15 minutes and 54 seconds.

Byeon Seon-Uk, head coach of Halla said, “There is a prospect of inferiority over Dongwon which is the championship team of a league. However, our players were advantageous in experiences of the big game.” Halla Winia which won the championship four times in Korea League started from 1995, made a great achievement of consecutive victories.
