Gold…Gold… Korea Confirms 2nd Position

Korea started to keep top 2 ranking with Gold medal march. On 6th the eighth day of the Busan Asian games, Korea won Gold medal in trios/ second block three games and 4 silver medals in shooting, making gap with Japan.

Korea ranked top 2 with 30 Gold, 34 Silver, and 43 Bronze at 4:30 P.M, surpassing Japan (26 Gold, 40 Silver, 35 Bronze).

Korea recorded total 3505 points in trios/ second block three games in women’s bowling event due to an effort of Kim soo-gyeong (Incheon City Hall), Cha mi-Jeong (Daejon City Hall), Kim yeo-jin (Seoul facility Public corporation) and won the gold medal from Taiwan, which followed by (3796 points).

Kim soo-gyeong, who won in the single category also, became the first winner of two gold medals in Bowling and the third winner among Korean players. In the shooting event that fetched Korea three gold medals the previous day, Lee sang-hak (KT) won silver medal with a total of 686.8 points in Men’s 25m rapid fire pistol event following Chinese player Lyungui hui (690.8 points) and had also won silver in the trio men’s event playing with Kang hyung-cheol, Lee young-hun, after China.

In 50m Rifle, three positions event, Kim jeong-mi (Incheon southern district office), Gong hyun-a (Kyoung-ji provincial office), Lee sun-min (Cheongwon district office) shot a total of 1742 points, however they could only muster silver medal after China (1754 points).

And Park jeong-yeon, Kim deuk-nam (Army), and Kim moon-sun (Busan city hall) won silver medal in woman’s 10m running target event.

In mixed doubles table tennis, which was held at Dongcheon stadium, Ulsan, Korea’s Yoo seung-min and Yoo ji-hye (Samsung card) will at least receive silver medal after they play the winner of North Korea-China semi-final match in finals.

Men’s basketball team confirmed their entry in semi-final after winning from Hong Kong by 101-58.
