`The 10th Korea Koyang Flower Exhibition` is to open from the 24th to 8th, next month, at Koyang city’s Ilsan Lake Park.
During the exhibition period, the 1,200 Pyong-exhibition building is to display various kinds of plants, including aquatic plants, cactuses, herb plants, and insectivorous plants. Especially, domestically developed new kinds of rose, chrysanthemum, and lily are to be exhibited.
Flower-tower, flower-garden, and flower-street are also to be placed in the 1,600 Pyong (1.3 acre)-outdoor exhibition space.
In this event, 30 flower enterprises from 20 nations and 40 domestic enterprises are to participate, and thus, certain positive results are expected for flower-variety trade.
Apart from the flower exhibition, other subsidiary events are prepared, including flower-photography competition (April 24 – May 4), flower-drawing competition (May 5), and flower-writing competition (April 28).
Various plants, fertilizers, and materials will be sold over 30 Per Cent cheaper than market prices.
Opening hours will be from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. (for weekends and holidays, 8 a.m. – 7 p.m.). Entrance fee : adults 4,000 won, students 2,000 won, children 1,000 won.
Free shuttle buses will be operated during the exhibition period from Exit 1 of Jungbalsan subway station on Line 3. Because the Lake Park’s parking space is heavily crowded, private vehicles are encouraged to use the extra parking space prepared on the opposite of the flower exhibition building, or the aquarium’s lot in north of the Lake Park. 031-908-7752,3
