It is heard that, on the first day when special envoy Lim Dong-Won visited the North, the conference was hard to proceed as the North demanded withdrawal of main enemy theory suddenly.
Chosun Joongang broadcasting also broadcasted,“ the South promised that there is no main enemy theory anymore during historical meting at PyongYang, however, it is causing disturbance like war mentioning that steadily---”.
Such behavior of the North is not the right attitude to deal with the dialogue of the South-North.
For the North, it is an opportunity at a time when relationship of North-U.S. is facing crisis like `crisis of 2003 (or August) ` is rising.
The North should utilize this conference aggressively.
In this situation, the North showed such an attitude.
And it causes doubtfulness whether they have any other intention of this conference or not.
Some people regard this attitude as tactics in order to raise negotiation power, however, even though if it is so, I feel stuffy that till when we should endure such conventional tactics.
I think if government insists more strict and faithful attitude in principle towards the North, then could the North show such absurd insistence like this.
To define the North as main enemy can`t be changed until peace settles down in Korean Peninsula in place of cease-fire.
However, it is too unreasonable for the North to demand withdrawal of main enemy concept, ignoring our demand to arrange least military credibility system.
Special envoy Lim should respond strictly on unreasonable insistence of the North.
If he spoils basic principle like main enemy theory, thinking of achievement, would bring the worst results than not performing the talks.
Defense ministry didn`t publish defense white paper last year suddenly and government was suspected to give up main enemy theory issue.
This issue can be an opportunity for government to get rid of such suspicion.
