Coca-cola to Launch `Vanilla Cola` 17 Years After Cerry Coke

Financial Times on the 31st quoted Beverage Digest that Coca-cola secretly developed vanilla-flavored version of its flagship cola, and would launce it in several months. It is first time that Coca-cola flavored classical coke with new flavor after it launched `Cherry Coke` in 1985. It sold Diet Cola with lemon flavor last year.

Financial Times analyzed that it is a market strategy caused by the decreasing market share with dropping of sales by 2 percent last year. American usually drinks coke with vanilla syrup, lemon, or chocolate.
