Israel Took the Offensive Ignoring U.N. Resolutions for Israel`s Withdrawal of Troops

After Israel troops occupied the cities in Palestinian territories including the West Bank city of Ramallah, the Security Council of U.N. on the 30th last month carried a resolution that urges Israel withdraw promptly.

However, Israel resumed the attack on the building of Palestinian independent government in Ramallah to the west of Jordan River on the 31st, and stepped up the offensive with the mobilization of reserve forces.

Palestinian minister of information announced that Israeli troops broke into the building, and exchanged fire with Palestinian crew; some of them were injured during the fight. Israeli troops reportedly entered Yasir Arafat`s compound.

Israeli troops additionally pushed into other cities like Bethlehem and Hebron in addition to Ramallah on the 31st. They attacked southern Lebanon on the 30th.

Yasser Arafat`s Fatah movement declared in its announcement on the 30th that it would attack on the Israeli troops and Jewish settlement, and rise in arms.
