Saying little seriously, it can be said that ` political revolution` and ` anti-revolution` are simultaneously proceedings in our political world.
`Revolution` means immense revolution for the sake of reforming current political order, and `anti- revolution` means conservative protest in order to protect existing political order.
As it is still vivid in our memory, National Millennium Democratic Party (NMDP) suggested surprise revolution programs to innovate party, which, has been managed by authoritative power under one boss regime on the first of January.
It presented plan that it will modernize NMDP and democratize it through process of national selection, withdrawal of presidential system, induction of group leadership and division of power of party and major power.
Such change of NMDP evoked big echo in the opposition too.
Grand national party GNP couldn`t help keeping promise to people that it will induce national selection on agendas that NMDP suggested, and carry out upward style of public recommendation.
Also, it stated, finally, that it will promote party reformation centered on group leadership.
Till that moment, it was considered that renovation in the field of politics which people desire was proceeding smoothly.
However, going ahead with full scale national selection by NMDP, several things which nullifies the intention of political revolution began to appear in many places.
Above all else there were many signs of mobilizing voters who participate in National selection.
It is revealed that the matter of distribution of money or valuables was quite probable as the confession of member Kim Geun-Tae.
In addition, in case of GNP, the movement that let us recommend presidential candidate by agreement not by national selection was strongly raised, as soon as member Park Geun-Hye withdrew saying that national selection is meaningless now.
Also, trial to promote recommendation rather than upward public recommendation of some candidates in local election is appearing.
Reformation in party by removal of single domination system, which member Park Geun-Hye made an excuse for withdrawal, is being buried even without deep discussion, for the sake of victory in the major elections.
These non-democratic behaviors that are proceeding in NMDP and GNP recently are judged as anti-revolutionary which frustrates political revolution that aims for creation of new political order, from the root.
It is especially, big problem that some political leaders who seek for next term, handle historical tasks carelessly which they should achieve through internal democratic values adhering to victory of selection within party and major elections.
Is it really good to leave situation like this? Never.
We now have reached the moment of political revolution in order to maximize achievement of democracy by completing task of democratization, which has been carried out for half a century after independence.
However, if such an important historical task is frustrated by non-democratic behavior and election tactics in political world, which doesn`t care about the mean ways, it can`t help being an unfortunate task towards the future of Korea society.
Thereby, it is required for national movement to take a new turn widely to be developed in order to complete political revolution and control anti-revolutionary behaviors which are being executed.
Above all else, our people should join in observing and correcting anti-revolutionary trials thoroughly, which are being carried out in ruling and opposition party, with a mind as if we are starting the second `June demonstration`.
More politicians should volunteer for these hard tasks like member Kim Geun-Tae, who took over a role of inside accuser for the sake of achieving maturity in Korea democracy, despite being painful.
Voters and members who join national selection should be front numbers in observing and refusing anti-democratic behaviors like distributing money and values.
Civil organization and press should also come out.
They should look for and correct such anti-revolutionary trials, which are adverse to political revolution, in order to utilize this historical chance that can bring majority and stability to Korea democracy.
Thus, Korea politics can move big step forward in future.
`World Competitive Power Report 2002`, which World Economy Forum(WEF) presented recently taking 75 countries as subject, evaluated Korea`s macroscopic economy environment ranked 8th Grade, Science and Technology 9th grade, however, it evaluated, competitive power in politics as 52nd grade.
This is the current position of Korea politics.
If it were so, it is impossible for Korea economy to leap to the top of the world.
True political revolution is really needed to innovate Korea politics that is working in shackles in development of the whole Korea society, and to promote Korea democracy one step more.
And, this task is to be shared by all the people.
