The Cremation Ceremony of Chongjong Hyeam

The last farewell and cremation ceremonies of Chongjong Hyeam, the Supreme Patriarch of Chogye Order, was held at Haein Temple, Hapcheon, Kyongnam Province, Jan. 6th, 2002, with 30 thousand monks, followers, and notables from various fields attending. In the process of the cremation ceremony on the Lotus-throne, in which the Patriarch`s body is placed, the `Highest Monk` entered into the `flame samadhi`.
