Foreign Affairs Division (Public Prosecutor Park Young-Ryol) of Seoul District Public Prosecutor`s Office summoned and investigated Chang Se-Dong, former Chief of the Agency for National Security Planning (NSP) on 11th. It has investigated `the cover-up and manipulation of the Suzy Kim murder case`.

Former chief Chang appeared in Prosecutors Office at 2 p.m. yesterday, and said to journalists, "I am fully recognizing my responsibility for the case while I was in charge of NSP. And I apologize to the bereaved family for their suffering."

The Prosecution grilled Chang, the former Chief, about whether he ordered to cover up the case immediately after the Suzy Kim was murdered in January 87, and about the details of wrapping and fabricating the case.

The Prosecution seized the evidence that Lee Moo-Young, the former commissioner of the National Police Agency, had been aware of the details of the case before he talked with Kim Seung-Il, former Chief of Anti-Communist Investigation Bureau in The National Intelligence Service, in February last year, and investigated the case. Lee was arrested for the charge of the interruption of the internal investigation of the case last year.

Prosecution will announce the result of the investigation, arresting and prosecuting Lee Moo-Young, the former commissioner, about on 14th. The details about the cover-up of the case in 1987 will be revealed as well.
